    National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY)
    NICHCY is a national information center that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, administrators, journalists, and students. The web site provides access to research-based information on children with disabilities, downloadable publications, disability-related web resources, information about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, and a special section for kids.

    National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)
    Part of the National Institutes of Health, NICHD supports and conducts research on topics related to the health of children, adults, and families, including birth defects and mental retardation. The web site provides information about current news and events, publications, ongoing health communications campaigns, research resources, and studies relating to reproductive, maternal, and child health.

    Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health (FFCMH)
    FFCMH is a national, parent-run advocacy and support organization for children and youth with emotional, behavioral, or mental disorders and their families. The web site provides information about the annual conference, policy issues, newly released reports, local chapters, training and technical assistance resources, publications, and links to related advocacy organizations, Federal agencies, information clearinghouses, professional organizations, and resources for mental health research.

    American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP)
    AACAP educates the public and promotes understanding of the developmental, behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders affecting children and adolescents. The web site provides advocacy updates, publications, information on topics in the news, and facts and resources for families, medical students, and residents.

    Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD)
    ADD advocates for programs and services that empower people with disabilities and their families and encourage their participation in the work force, education, housing, and society. The web site provides information about the agency's programs and activities, services for families, grant opportunities, State and local resources, legislation and public policy, publications, and research and statistics.
