This guide was developed as a quick reference inventory for consumers, providers, administrators, and researchers to promote awareness of current intervention research and to increase the implementation and availability of evidence-based practices (EBPs). Developing a Stigma Reduction Initiative
"Developing a Stigma Reduction Initiative" is designed to support the activities of those who plan and implement a statewide, regional, or local effort to address and counter stigma and discrimination. This kit offers guidance on how to implement an initiative, sample materials and templates to use in developing communication materials, tactics to enhance outreach efforts, and directories of resources for creating public education materials. This report discusses the findings of a two-day dialogue meeting between mental health consumers and primary care representatives including providers, researchers and policymakers. The participants discussed their experiences, identified factors that promote and hinder recovery of persons in general and mental health care systems, and offered recommendations to address attitudinal and bureaucratic barriers and to create opportunities for promoting recovery. more...

Emergency Mental Health and Traumatic Stress, Disaster Mental Health Programs
CMHS disaster mental health programs are conducted by the Emergency Mental Health and Traumatic Stress Services Branch of the Federal Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS). In partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), this Branch of CMHS is responsible for assessing, promoting, and enhancing the resilience of Americans in times of crisis. Federal Action Agenda for Mental Health
The federal government is aligning resources in an unprecedented collaborative effort to help ensure that people with mental illnesses have every opportunity for recovery.
