Homepage for July 2007Back to Homepage Archive ![]() Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families Program Evaluation Findings: Annual Report to Congress 2002-2003 This combined report represents the eighth and ninth annual reports, which covers evaluation activities of the children’s mental health services grant program through FY 2002 and 2003. The children’s program is administered by SAMHSA’s Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) and it encourages the development of systems of care for children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and their families. The 45 grant communities which were evaluated for this report include those funded in 1997 (9), 1998 (14), 1999 (20), and 2000 (2 sites). The report describes improvements that children with serious emotional disturbance made in the areas of behavioral, emotional, and community functioning after 6 months, 12 months, and 18 months in services provided through the funded system of care. more...
