Services Research

Over time, it has become increasingly important to develop a mechanism to ensure accountability in mental health service delivery at the State and community levels. We are currently confronting serious challenges to find effective solutions to tackle unmet mental health service needs, to reduce health disparities and to provide equitable and effective treatments for mental illness in a managed care era. Research in these areas is an important part of the ongoing effort to improve the services available to persons with mental illnesses.
